It’s our birthday!
Twenty years ago today, the Ashford Concert Band – then known as the Windmill Band – met for the first time; a group keen about music but with little experience of being in a band. Roll forward 20 years and we now pride ourselves on being Ashford’s premier concert band with more than 35 members playing across the borough, Kent and further afield.
We have been trawling the archives in readiness for our anniversary and have a fantastic programme of events lined up for the next 12 months (and maybe beyond!), news of which will be coming very soon. In the meantime, throughout this year, we will be posting some of the archive material we have – posters, photos, video, concert reports, music and much more.
